MD 520 NOTAR   msn: LN-001

# LN-001 / During March 2017 this MD520 Notar helicopter had to make a pre-cautionary landing along
the Motu River. The crew had to abandon the helicopter to collect some spares. When the mechanic returned
a few days later to start the repairs, the helicopter was gone, as it was washed away by the rising river.
The extensively damaged airframe was finally located some 30 miles downstream in the Motu river from
its position where it previously had been parked.
